History

1985 2 sets of bells were cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry comprising hour bells and 4 quarter chimes. They were tuned identically and installed with internal electromagnetic hammers by Gillett & Johnston (Clocks) Ltd, Croydon in 1985. They were hung over the north and south entrances of "The Centre".
2014 The Centre was redeveloped and the bells removed. Revd David Cawley (at that time in charge of the neighbouring All Saints, Westbrook) tried to acquire a set, but with no luck. The fate of the bells is unknown.
