History

c 1250 13th Cent: Tower built, later to hold 3 bells.
c 1540 Bell cast by William Oldfield.
c 1800 Prior to 1800, 2 of the 3 bells were "disposed of by Churchwardens to defray the expense of repairs".
1887 Stahlschmidt records the Oldfield bell.
1900 The remarkable remaining bell was recast by Mears & Stainbank, but the inscription and marks were not reproduced on its successor.
2014 Work by Chris Trafford allowed the bell to be rung full circle again.
