History

1552 Record of 4 bells in the tower. [1]
I 1605 Present tenor cast.
1656 4 treble bells cast by William Hatch.
1699 -1702 Tower pulled down and rebuilt; the bells were rehung.
1758 Record of 5 bells.
1774 4th and 5th recast by Pack & Chapman.
1799 Record of 5 bells in the tower.
1917 Treble recast and new treble added to make 6.
1918 Bells, with new bells, rehung by Mears & Stainbank.
1966 Bells retuned and rehung in a new frame for 8 with new fittings by Whitechapel. Only the 3rd and tenor retained their canons.
2002 Two trebles cast at Whitechapel and hung in the empty pits to complete the octave.
