    History

    c1120 Church in existence.
    1401 A bell was supposedly cast and installed inscribed "Guillelmus Prene me fecit in honorem sanctae trinitas"
    1552 Record of 3 bells. [1]
    1726 -32 Church rebuilt by Matthew Spray (builder).
    1738 -9 Bells transferred to the new tower.
    1821 Ring of 8 cast by Thomas Mears.
    1892 Bells retuned and rehung by Warners for £204.16.10.
    1893 Bells rehung in a new frame by T. Blackbourn of Salisbury. [This fact needs checking.]
    1894 Chancel built.
    1929 The tenor was reported to be cracked.
    1932 Tenor recast by John Taylor who rehung the remainder with new fittings in the old frame.
