1900 | 1st June | 5 bells were installed as a chime in the tower by Gillett & Johnston. The Gillett order book records the order for a clock and bells, costing £570, together with the inscriptions. [1] | |
1989 | 6th April | The church was gutted by fire which started in the organ in the tower. The bells were not destroyed, but were considered unworthy of preservation. One of the bells was broken up by the KCACR gang, although the others were removed intact. | |
1991 | New ring of six installed in the tower in an 8-bell frame. The Church was rededicated by the Bishop of Rochester on 21st Dec. | ||
1993 | 2 trebles added by Whitechapel. |
