History

1635 Present 6th and 7th cast.
1672 Present 5th cast.
1675 Present 4th cast.
1693 Present 3rd cast.
1775 Tower rebuilt.
1850 Present tenor cast. (The church guide suggests that it was added to the existing five.)
1889 2 trebles were added by Gillett & Johnston to make 8. Carillon apparatus was also added playing various sacred and secular tunes. This was mainly silent for much of the twentieth century.
1907 Bells rehung by Gillett & Johnston.
1975 The carillon was put into working order as a memorial to Kathleen Greenwood and Molly Ashby, former members of the congregation.
1982 The 2 trebles were recast and the bells were retuned and rehung in a new frame by Whitechapel. The carillon was dismantled and sold. The bells were rededicated by the Bishop of Rochester on 12th September.
