History

1371 -92 Bell cast by William Burford, destined to become the treble of 4.
1620 Tenor (of 4) cast by John Wilnar.
1633 2nd (of 4) recast by John Wilnar.
1657 3rd (of 4) recast by John Darbie.
1893 The bells were 1-4 of a diatonic 6. The tenor was scrapped and 3 trebles were cast on 24th June to augment the ring to a diatonic 6.
1896 Band expressed a wish to augment the bell to 8. This never happened.
1930 Bells rehung by Alfred Bowell. [1]
1955 -61 Bells silent due to no band.
1966 Bells rehung by Mears & Stainbank in the old frame.
1988 Bells silent while the tower stonework was being restored.
1992 Tower work completed and the bells were rung again.
