History

1717 Tower rebuilt within the ruins of the old collapsed tower.
1718 Bells rehung in a new anticlockwise frame.
1757 -8 All 6 bells were recast by Lester & Pack.
1817 4th (of 6) recast by Thomas Mears.
1864 Tenor recast by George Mears.
1920 2 trebles were added to make 8 and the bells were rehung by Alfred Bowell. [1]
1999 Bells rung again after a break of almost 20 years. During that time, there were unsubstantiated rumours that the tower was not strong enough for the bells to be rung. This was proved otherwise following interest from a new incumbant.
2011 Bells retuned by Whitechapel Bell Foundry and rehung by the Kent CACR.
