Inscriptions

History

1317 Date of the original foundation, by John Maynier (Maynard). It provided for the support of 3 old men and 1 old woman.
1546 An inventory includes one bell.
1604 Date of the second foundation, by Leonard Cotton.
1703 The buildings were wrecked in a great storm.
1708 The present hospital was completed.
