HISTORY |
| 1328-1348 | Bell cast by Peter de Weston, later acting as the tenor. |
| 15th Cent. | Bell cast, forming the treble of a future 3. It was apparently cast in two goes as there was a distinct horizontal crack all round, a ½in band with two narrow ones, one on each side, and very coarse. |
| 1552 | Record of 3 bells in the tower. |
1727 |
Middle bell recast by Samuel Knight. |
| 1862 | The de Weston tenor was recast by George Mears & Co. to 8-0-21. The fittings on the other bells were repaired at the same time, at a total cost of £77.6.5. |
| 1968 | The treble was recast and another bell added by Mears & Stainbank. The inscription on the former tenor was specially made from Richard Kimber's drawings at Whitechapel. The four bells were rehung as a manual chime. Fragments of the old bell are still preserved at the Foundry. |
