1799   Edward Hasted wrote:
The church, which is dedicated to St. Augustine, consists of only one isle and one chancel of equal length, and a small one on the north side. It is built of sand-stone, and embattled all round, having a tower steeple, with a beacon turret, at the west end, in which are two bells.

The bells were dismantled and stood on timbers on the frame.

1981

Church declared redundant.

The cast in crown staple of the ancient 2nd bell was removed.

1983

Declaration of Redundance Scheme.

1984

18th May

Declaration Scheme amended. Church under the care of the Romney Marsh HCT.
