HISTORY |
Church records suggest that the church was very ruinous. |
A bell was cast (as one of two) for St Michael, Crooked Lane, London, by Anthony Bartlett. |
The repair of the church was completed. |
St Michael's Crooked Lane was destroyed during the alterations made for the new approach to London Bridge. One of its bells was transferred to River. |
Sept | The new church was consecrated. The old church had been pulled down.
The Bartlet bell was recast by John Warner as part of a general restoration of the church (including the construction of an apse and porch).
