HISTORY

1928

The ships bell was cast for the 10th HMS Kent. This ship lasted until 1997 when a more modern version was built. It is assumed the bell came to County Hall at this time. The bell of the 9th HMS Kent went to Rochester Cathedral. The bell was dispatched 2nd June 1928. A bell was received of 14½" on 31st May 1928, note C#.
