Tower pulled down and rebuilt; the bells were rehung.

1799 Edward Hasted wrote:
The church, which is dedicated to St. Mary, is a large handsome building, consisting of two isles and two chancels, having a square tower steeple at the west end, in which are five bells.

1917

Treble recast and new treble added to make 6.

1918

Bells, with new bells, rehung by Mears & Stainbank.

1966

Bells retuned and rehung in a new frame for 8 by Whitechapel. Only the 3rd and tenor (of 6) retained their canons.

2002

 2 bells cast at Whitechapel to augment the ring to 8 using the empty pits.
