HISTORY

1552

Record of 3 bells in the tower.

1683

Ring of 4 cast by John Hodson.

1759 Rev'd Bryan Faussett wrote:
This Church consists of The Great and North Chancells, Body, and South Isle. In The Tower, which is cap’t by a low Spire, hang 4 Bells, all cast by John Hodson, 1683.
1799 Edward Hasted recorded 3 bells in the tower.  Perhaps the 3rd was unhung at the time.
The church, which is dedicated to St. Anthony the Martyr, is a handsome building, consisting of three isles and two chancels, having a tower steeple, with a low pointed turret on it, in which hang three bells.

1873

3rd recast and bells rehung in a new timber frame by Mears & Stainbank.

1961
